Safety
Safety is of the utmost priority at TEP. As the guiding principle behind all of our actions, we strive to continually improve upon the excellent safety standard that has been instilled at every level of our company. TEP puts safety at the forefront of our culture by launching sustainable and best-in-class practices, such as the following:
- A culture of continuous improvement that encourages employees to recommend suggestions on safety needs;
- A company-wide Safety, Health, and Environmental Manual that every employee is held accountable for;
- A zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy;
- Safety-certified Supervisors who visit crews weekly to ensure that proper safety procedures are followed;
- Daily and/or weekly meetings to discuss potential job hazards, incidents, near misses/good catches, root causes, and prevention factors for all company and industry related events;
- Interactive weekly safety presentations conducted by employees;
- Monthly safety committee meetings where employees discuss relevant ways to advance our safety procedures and continue the culture of safety;
- Regular trainings and certifications for all employees;
- Routine safety audits of all crewmembers and equipment;
- Incident reporting and analysis that aid in preventing future occurrences.
